• Michael Hanley was recognized as one of the top 25 accountants on Long Island by Long Island Business News in their 2008 edition of "Who's Who in Accounting."  This recognition is unique in several ways for Michael:
  • He is the only accountant on the list whose practice focuses solely on small businesses.
  • He is one of only four founders who made the list.  The other 21 accountants recognized are employees of other firms or partners who were added after their firm was founded by other accountants.
  • He is one of only six principals (owners) who made the list.  The other 19 accountants recognized are employees of other firms or junior partners.
  • He is the youngest CPA on the list.
  • His firm, Michels & Hanley is one of the smallest firms to have made the list.

• Outside of the office, Michael Hanley has been working with a personal trainer since August 2007 in order to ensure optimal health and longevity.  Recently, he was the topic of conversation on  the "Which Way to Success" episode of John Boos's One-on-One Fitness Show.  John Boos has held many bodybuilding titles, most notably Mr. World.  Now, he owns a weight training facility and hosts radio shows on 101.5 and 105.3
