Rod is a Certified Public Accountant with 40 years of experience in the accounting profession with extensive experience in business taxation, including payroll and sales tax compliance, and individual taxation.  He values client relationships in order to better understand and provide each business or individual he serves with effective accounting and tax advice.

He has worked with and advised all sizes of businesses from small sized start ups to major heavy construction companies.  After working for a mid-sized accounting firm as the firm's business and personal income tax manager, he formed his own successful accounting firm in 1990, Rodney A. Dickson, CPA, PC.

Rod has specialized experience with Sage/Timberline heavy construction job costing and work in progress reporting as well as church and clergy tax compliance and reporting.

He earned pilot ratings of commercial, instrument, multi-engine, and instructor.  He is conversant in sign language and also speaks basic Spanish.

Rod currently resides in East Moriches with his college sweetheart and wife of 46 years, Evelyn.  They have three grown children. He enjoys his time with family, traveling, all sports, music, and serving as his church's treasurer for the past 40 years.
